School Levies

written by Maurice

I am the better part of 50 years old and have been voting since I was 18. In all of those years I have voted for every single school levy that has been on my ballot. For a good number of those years I didn’t even have children – or didn’t have children old enough [...]

My Nook Simple Touch Day Two

written by Maurice

(Tech Support has advised me that my Nook is called a Nook Second Edition. It seems I’ve seen it referred to as an N2 in some of the forums.) You will recall from yesterday that I was having trouble with my Nook Simple Touch freezing. When I took the Nook home last night I had [...]

Posting from my smart phone

written by Maurice

A short while back I picked up a smart phone. A Droid X that runs Google’s Android operating system. The phone has replaced my old phone and my Palm TX (which looked very sleek when I got it, And that is all that came through of a somewhat larger post.  So, it appears there is [...]

Continuing with the Jell-O Bath

written by Maurice

You never realize just how little you know about Jell-O until you decide to fill a bathtub full of the stuff. Some of the things I had to consider when planning the Jell-O bath were: How many gallons of water did the typical early-80’s bathtub hold? At the time of the Jell-O bath experiment I [...]

Heath Care Reform

written by Maurice

I spent a little bit of Monday poking around news sites. The Health Care Reform Bill hadn’t been signed by President Obama yet, but it was on the way to his desk. Comments I read, left by readers of the sites I was visiting, were mixed. On the pro-reform side you had people leaving this-is-the-best-thing-since-sliced-bread [...]

Another Field Sobriety Test

written by admin

As we continue with our story… The Cincinnati police officer came over and told me he was going to give me a field sobriety test. Even though I had just practiced for the UC cops I was a bit concerned. You never know how these things might go. The officer told me he wanted me [...]

The Cincinnati Police are Called In

written by Maurice

To bring yourself up to speed, you’ll want to start a couple of posts ago with one called Stupid Things. Now that were all on the same page. Baby, if you’ve ever wondered … wondered, whatever became of me … I’m livin’ on the air in Cincinnati …   "DON’T LIE TO ME!", the angry [...]

Another Blog I Write

This Blog and Me

I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world.

My wife and I have more teenagers than you'd think a couple could possibly have and maintain their sanity. They keep us very busy and the time my wife and I have alone is not as much as we'd like. As I'd prefer to spend that time with her doing things other than droning on about my oddball notions, or stupid things I've done as a kid, I put them here.

Where my wife can read about them at her leisure. Over and over again. With wine, as needed.
